Wood
The wood’s indomitable character makes it precious: we start with choosing the tree, cut the log, sew the wood sheets together, then manufacture a door or a work surface, and in this way the tree comes back to life, regains its personality.
Wood is a “warm” raw material that does not easily undergo the craftsman’s will to work it, but this fight
between man and matter gives rise to works of extraordinary quality and beauty.
Accuracy in processing methods and respect for the material characterise Matteo Gennari’s style: before creating a veneer sheet, the tree undergoes rigorous controls to guarantee its quality and these sheets are worked with great care to retain its unique
aspect. Thirty-four types of wood are used, including ebony, rosewood, pear, mahogany, shot oak, olive, cypress and cedar in thicknesses ranging from 0.6 to 30 mm. All the wood is used in natural and non-died nuances, to reflect the emotions of a kitchen made with this noble raw material.
